The energy industry segment involves the production of an intangible product used indirectly, whether to produce light, movement, heat or any other energy transformation.
Until it reaches the consumer, the production chain basically comprises generation, transmission and distribution.
Generation is the segment responsible for producing electrical energy and injecting it into the transmission and distribution systems to take it to consumers. This generation can be carried out from renewable sources, such as wind or solar, or non-renewable sources, such as thermoelectric or nuclear.
Mitigating the risk involved in exploring and investing in energy generation from renewable sources is, and will continue to be, one of the segment’s greatest challenges. Combined with the environmental aspect, cost reduction for the end consumer is another relevant factor in the exploration decision, considering the weight it exerts on the production costs of goods and services.
Valor & Foco has a portfolio of more than 60 projects for the energy segment, which involve economic-financial modeling, feasibility and projections of demand scenarios to open new production and consumption units.
